Thanks Judes.......👍
Some intriguing little snippets here, not so much in the album choices as in some comments about future plans .

Thanks for letting us know about the article and providing the link. What an interesting and varied range of albums! Ron's got an enviably open ear for music, willing to explore and appreciate so many styles. I'm surprised he had the time to put together the article, given how busy the year has been for Sparks!
I seem to remember the album of advertising jingles was played as background music before the London 1995 gig, unless my memory's playing tricks?

I just had 2 teeny concerns when l first read the article...

.. The John Woo /Xcrucior combination.....and Ron's "tentative" answer.....are problems arising in this area?

And also , Ron said when asked about the future...
"Obviously we can do another Sparks album, it's just that the format is so kind of predictable for us"

Mmmmmm.......

A really good read.I'm really interested in what Ron and Russ like musically..I liked the Giorgio Moroder story and it's amazing how fate happens like that..Also Ron's surprise in realising how catchy Adverts influenced him even though he didn't realise it until asked..I think we all have catchy adverts we like in our sub-concious mind (The shake n vac advert comes to mind for instance) Anyway i can see how these jingles can influence song writers like Ron withour realising it..I remember Ron & Russ doing their Top 10 fave songs on MTV many years ago and liking their choices many of who i also liked and had in my collection. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ju7ax1yATQ4
